Chapter 50.--UNFAIR TRADE AND CONSUMER PROTECTION
Article 6.--CONSUMER PROTECTION

      50-6,102.   Act part of and supplemental to Kansas consumer protection act;deceptive practices; enforcement by attorney general; other rights and remediesnot limited.(a) This act shall be part of and supplemental to the Kansasconsumer protection act.

      (b)   Any failure to comply with the provisions or requirements, or both, ofthis act is a deceptive act or practice within the meaning of K.S.A. 50-626 andamendments thereto or an unconscionable act or practice within the meaning ofK.S.A. 50-627 and amendments thereto.

      (c)   The attorney general shall have jurisdiction to enforce this section inthe event the consumer elects not to pursue violations of this act througharbitration or private action.

      (d)   Nothing in this act shall in any way limit or affect the rights orremedies which are otherwise available to a consumer under the uniform consumercredit code, or to any person under the uniform commercial code or to anyperson under this or any other law, statutory or otherwise.
