Chapter 53.--NOTARIES PUBLIC AND COMMISSIONERS
Article 1.--NOTARIES PUBLIC

      53-105.   Seal; statement of date of expiration of appointment.Every notary public shall provide a notarial seal containing suchnotary's name exactly as it appears on the application for appointment asa notary public, and the words "notary public" and "state of Kansas" orwords of like import indicating statewide notarial authority,approved by the secretary of state. Such sealshall authenticate all official acts, attestations and instrumentstherewith. Every notary public shall add to such notary's officialsignature the date of expiration of appointment as a notary public. Theseal of every notary public shall be either a seal press and theimpression thereof inked or blackened or a rubber stamp to be used withpermanent ink so that any such seal may be legibly reproduced byphotographic process. No notary public shall use either such seal unlessan impression thereof has been filed in the office of secretary ofstate.
