Chapter 55.--OIL AND GAS
Article 2.--LEASES AND LIENS

      55-218.   Same; expunging certain purported assignments from records. If any court of competent jurisdiction shall adjudge that any oil andgas lease executed prior to January 1, 1925, is void and there are ofrecord in the office of the register of deeds of the county where the landso purportedly leased is located, assignments of such oil and gas lease orany interest in such lease, then the court may, in a proper action broughtfor that purpose, order and require said register of deeds to expunge fromthe records in his or her office all purported assignments of such void oil andgas lease.
