Chapter 55.--OIL AND GAS
Article 4.--PETROLEUM PRODUCTS INSPECTION

      55-441.   Same; transfer of appropriations; assumption of liability forcompensation of transferred officers and employees.(a) On the effective date of this act, the balance of allfunds appropriated and reappropriated to the director of taxation withregard to the petroleum products inspection law is herebytransferred to the department of agriculture and shall be used only for thepurpose for whichthe appropriation was originally made.

      (b)   On the effective date of this act, the liability for all accruedcompensation or salaries of officers and employees who, immediately priorto such date, were engaged in the performance of powers, duties orfunctions of any state agency or officer transferred by this act, orwhich becomes a part of the department ofagriculture or the powers,duties and functions of which are transferred to the secretary ofagriculture, shall be assumed and paid by thedepartment ofagriculture.
