Chapter 55.--OIL AND GAS
Article 4.--PETROLEUM PRODUCTS INSPECTION

      55-442.   Rules and regulations.(a) The secretary of agriculture may adopt rules andregulations establishing standards for and identity of any petroleum product.These rules and regulations shall conform, insofar as practicable, to theAmerican society for testing materials standards for those products and therules and regulations and clean air act waivers of the United Statesenvironmental protection agency.

      (b)   The secretary of agriculture may adopt rules andregulationsestablishing methods of testing any petroleum product.These rules and regulations shall conform, insofar aspracticable, to the methods for testing those petroleum products as establishedby the American society for testing materials.

      (c)   The secretary of agriculture may adopt rules andregulationsestablishing specifications, tolerances and other technical requirements forequipment used for the testing those petroleum products as established by theAmerican society for testing materials.

      (d)   The secretary of agriculture may adopt rules andregulationsconcerning labeling of petroleum products and standards of identity forpetroleum products. These rules and regulations shall conform, insofar aspracticable, to the standards of identity for petroleum products as establishedby the American society for testing materials and to federal regulationsregarding labeling whenever possible.

      (e)   The secretary of agriculture may adopt rules andregulationsdesignating additional products as petroleum products.

      (f)   The secretary of agriculture may adopt any otherrules and regulationsdeemed necessary for the administration of the petroleum products inspectionlaw.
