Chapter 58.--PERSONAL AND REAL PROPERTY

Article 20a.--STATE PLANE COORDINATE SYSTEM

      58-20a04.   Same; describing land tracts, use of coordinate system.Descriptions of tracts of land by reference to subdivisions, linesor corners of the United States public land survey, or other original pertinentsurveys, are hereby recognized as the basic and prevailing method fordescribing such tracts. Whenever coordinates of the Kansas coordinate systemare used in such descriptions they shall be construed as being supplementary todescriptions of such subdivisions, lines or corners contained in official platsand field notes of record; and, in the event of any conflict, the descriptionsby reference to the subdivisions, lines or corners of the United States publicland surveys, or other original pertinent surveys shall prevail over thedescription by coordinates.
