Chapter 58.--PERSONAL AND REAL PROPERTY
Article 3.--MORTGAGES AND CONDITIONAL SALES

      58-320.   Destruction of such instruments if maker not found within twoyears.If the person executing the same or his or her assigns cannot be found withintwo years subsequent to such payment or satisfaction, the register of deedsshall destroy the chattel mortgages or other instruments of writingremaining in his or her office by burning the same in the presence of thecounty commissioners, a note or list of the instruments to be destroyed havingbeen entered in the index book for chattel mortgages.
