Chapter 59.--PROBATE CODE
Article 16.--ACCOUNTING OF TRUSTEES

      59-1609.   Applicability of provisions.Nothing in this article shall be construed to abridge the power of anycourt to require trustees to file an inventory, to account, to exhibit thetrust property, or to give beneficiaries information or the privilege ofinspection of trust records and papers, at times other than those hereinprescribed; and nothing in this article shall be construed to abridge thepower of such court for cause shown to excuse a trustee from performing anyor all of the duties imposed on him or her by this article.

      Nothing in this article shall prevent the trustee from accountingvoluntarily when it is reasonably necessary, even though the trustee is notrequired to do so by this article or by court order. And nothing in this actshall require a trustee to qualify or to file an inventory or any accountingwhen the devise or bequest is to any governmental unit or department or solelyfor religious, charitable, or educational purposes, or for the maintenanceof a cemetery or any part thereof or a place of burial, unless the courtfor good cause shown, or the will shall so require.
