Chapter 59.--PROBATE CODE
Article 21.--ADOPTION

      59-2115.   Consent or relinquishment; minor parent.Minority of a parent shall not invalidate a parent'sconsent or relinquishment, except that a minor parent shall have the adviceof independent legal counsel as to the consequences of the consent orrelinquishment prior to its execution. The attorney providing independentlegal advice to the minor parent shall be present at the execution of theconsent or relinquishment.Unless the minor parent is otherwise represented by independent legalcounsel, the petitioner or childplacing agency shall provide independent legal counsel to the minor parentat such petitioner's or child placing agency's sole expense.
