Chapter 59.--PROBATE CODE Article 29b.--CARE AND TREATMENT FOR PERSONS WITH AN ALCOHOL OR SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROBLEM

59-29b83. Applicability to persons in custody oncriminal charges.Nothing in this act shall be construed to apply to any personalleged or thought to be a person with an alcohol or substanceabuse problem subject to involuntary commitment for care andtreatment under this act who is in custody on a criminal charge,except with the consent of either the prosecuting attorney ortrial court.
