Chapter 59.--PROBATE CODE
Article 30.--GUARDIANS OR CONSERVATORS

      59-3057.   Same; procedure.Upon the filing of a petition as provided for inK.S.A. 59-3056,and amendments thereto, the court shall issue an order fixing the date, timeand place of thetrial on the petition and order that notice of this trial shall be given tosuch personsas the court shall direct. The trial may be heldforthwith and without notice if the court determines that holding a trialforthwith and without notice is in the bestinterests of the petitioner. Upon completion of thetrial, if the court finds that thepetitioner has knowingly and voluntarily made this request and that it isin the best interests of the petitioner that aconservator be appointed, the court, upon thefiling of an oath and a bond in such an amount as the courtmay direct pursuant toK.S.A. 59-3069, and amendments thereto, shallissueletters of conservatorshipto the individual or corporation named in the petition, if fit and proper to besoappointed.
