Chapter 59.--PROBATE CODE
Article 33.--INFORMAL ADMINISTRATION ACT

      59-3305.   Orders of court if informal administration not appropriate.The court may determine thatadministration under the Kansas informal administration act is notappropriate because of contested matters, the needfor administration, disagreement among beneficiaries or any otherappropriate circumstances. If the court determines that informaladministration is not appropriate, the court may dismiss the proceeding,order a refusal to grant letters of administrationproceeding, order a determination of descent proceeding if more thansix months have passed since the decedent's death or order that simplifiedadministration or supervised administration ensue without further notice ofhearing, other than notice to creditors pursuant to K.S.A. 59-709 and amendmentsthereto.
