Chapter 60.--PROCEDURE, CIVIL
Article 16.--DIVORCE AND MAINTENANCE

      60-1606.   Granting of degree mandatory; exceptions; denial of relief;orders authorized.The courtshall grant a requested decree of divorce, separate maintenance or annulmentunless the granting of the decree is discretionary under this act or unlessthe court finds that there are no grounds for the requested alteration ofmarital status. If a decree of divorce, separate maintenance or annulmentis denied for lack of grounds, the court shall nevertheless, if applicationis made by one of the parties, make the orders authorized by subsections(a) and (b) of K.S.A. 60-1610 and amendments thereto.
