Article 16.--DIVORCE AND MAINTENANCE

      60-1613.   Enforcement of support or maintenance order; incomewithholding; wage assignment.(a) The provisions of K.S.A. 23-4,107 shall apply to all ordersof support issued under K.S.A. 60-1610 and amendments thereto.

      (b)   Any assignment previously ordered under this section remainsbinding on the employer, trusteeor other payor of the earnings or income. The payor shall withholdfrom the earnings or trust income payable to the person obligated to supportthe amount specified in the assignment and shall transmit the payments tothe district court trustee or the person specified in the order. The payormay withhold from the earnings or trust income payable to the person obligedto pay support a cost recovery fee of $5 for each payment made or $10 foreach month for which payment is made, whichever is less. An employer shallnot discharge or otherwise discipline an employee as a result of anassignment previously ordered under this section.
