Chapter 60.--PROCEDURE, CIVIL
Article 18.--SURVIVAL OF CLAIMS AND ABATEMENT OF ACTIONS

      60-1803.   Abatement exceptions; libel or slander at afuneral.(a) Notwithstanding the provisions of K.S.A. 60-1802, andamendments thereto, if an act of libel or slander is committed at a funeral andthe person defamed is the deceased at such funeral or any living relative ofthe deceased, an action for libel or slander brought by the estate of suchdeceased person on behalf of such deceased person or by or on behalf of anyliving relative of such deceased person may be sustained if brought within oneyear after such funeral.
