Article 34.--PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY ACTIONS

      60-3405.   Findings and purpose.Substantial increases in costs of professionalliability insurance for health care providers have created a crisis ofavailability and affordability. This situation poses a serious threat tothe continued availability and quality of health care in Kansas. In theinterest of the public health and welfare, new measures are required toassure that affordable professional liability insurance will be availableto Kansas health care providers, to assure that injured parties receiveadequate compensation for their injuries, and to maintain the quality ofhealth care in Kansas.
