Chapter 65.--PUBLIC HEALTH
Article 1.--SECRETARY OF HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT, ACTIVITIES

      65-153c.   Same; duty of physician and others.Any physician or any person authorized by law to act as anobstetrician in this state or any other person having the care of aninfant, within six (6) months after its birth, who shall detect anyinflammation, swelling or redness in the eyes of any such infant or anyunnatural discharge therefrom, shall, if such person is licensed to practicemedicine and surgery, treat suchchild with the necessary prophylactic, or, ifsuch person is not licensed to practice medicine and surgery, shall immediatelyreport the condition and the location ofsuch infant to the county or joint board of health.
