Chapter 65.--PUBLIC HEALTH Article 1.--SECRETARY OF HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT, ACTIVITIES

65-1,116. Confidentiality of information; exceptions.Information obtained by the secretary under K.S.A. 65-1,115 is confidentialand shall not be disclosed except as provided in this section. The secretarymay disclose information obtained under K.S.A. 65-1,115: (a) Upon the consent,in writing, of the person who is the subject of the information, or if suchperson is under eighteen (18) years of age, by such person's parent or guardian;or (b) upon the request of an organization or scholarly investigator forlegitimate research or data collection purposes, so long as such informationis disclosed in a manner which will not reveal the identity of the personswho are the subject of the information.
