Article 14.--REGULATION OF DENTISTS AND DENTAL HYGIENISTS

      65-1462.   Immunity from liability in civil actions for reporting, communicatingand investigating certain information concerning alleged malpractice incidentsand other information; conditions.(a) No person reporting to the Kansas dental board under oath and in goodfaith any information such person may have relating to alleged incidentsof malpractice or the qualifications, fitness or character of a person licensedto practice dentistry shall be subject to a civil action for damages asa result of reporting such information.

      (b)   Any state, regional or local association of licensed dentists orlicensed dental hygienists, andthe individual members of any committee thereof, which in good faithinvestigatesor communicates information pertaining to the alleged incidents of malpracticeor the qualifications, fitness or character of any licensee to the Kansasdental board or to any committee or agent thereof, shall be immune fromliability in any civil action, that is based upon such investigation ortransmittal of information if the investigation and communication was madein good faith and did not represent as true any matter not reasonably believedto be true.
