Chapter 65.--PUBLIC HEALTH
Article 15.--REGULATION OF OPTOMETRISTS

      65-1515.   Immunity from liability in civil actions for reporting, communicatingand investigating certain information concerning alleged malpractice incidentsand other information; conditions.(a) No person reporting to the board of examiners in optometry under oathand in good faith any information such person may have relating to allegedincidents of malpractice or the qualifications, fitness or character ofa person licensed to practice optometry shall be subject to a civil actionfor damages as a result of reporting such information.

      (b)   Any state, regional or local association of licensed optometristsand the individual members of any committee thereof, which in good faithinvestigates or communicates information pertaining to the alleged incidentsof malpractice or the qualifications, fitness or character of any licenseeto the board of examiners in optometry or to any committee or agent thereof,shall be immune from liability in any civil action, that is based upon suchinvestigation or transmittal of information if the investigation and communicationwas made in good faith and did not represent as true any matter not reasonablybelieved to be true.

      (c)   This section shall be a part of and supplemental to the optometry law.
