Article 18.--EXAMINATION, REGISTRATION AND REGULATION OF BARBERS

      65-1819.   Renewal of license; annual requirement; expiration dates;fees prorated, when; restoration of license.(a) Every licensed barber, instructor, operator of abarber shop and operator of a barber school or barber collegeshall annually renew the license and pay the required fee. The expiration dateofeach license which is issued, restored orrenewed by the board shall be established by rules and regulations ofthe board so that licenses are renewedby the board throughout the year on a continuing basis. In each case inwhich a license is issued, restored orrenewed for a period of time of less than one year, the board mayprorate the amount of the fee established under K.S.A. 65-1817, andamendments thereto.

      (b)   A barber whose license has been expired for a period of lessthan three years may have the license renewedimmediately upon payment of the required restoration fee. Anybarber whose license has been expired for a period ofthree or more years, may renew the license after a successful reexamination bythe board and upon thepayment of the required examination and license fees.
