Chapter 65.--PUBLIC HEALTH
Article 2.--LOCAL BOARDS OF HEALTH; CLINICS

      65-245.   Same; overpayment or underpayment to localhealth department; procedure.In the event any local health department is paid more than it is entitledto receive under any distribution made under this act, the secretary shallnotify the governing board of the local health department of the amountof such overpayment, and such governing board shall remit the same to thesecretary. The secretary shall remit any moneys so received to the statetreasurer in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 75-4215,and amendments thereto. Upon receipt of each such remittance, the statetreasurer shall deposit the entire amount in thestate treasuryto the credit of the state general fund. If any such governing board failsto remit, the secretary shall deduct the excess amount paid from futurepayments becoming due to such local health department. In the event any localhealth department is paid less than the amount to which it is entitled underany distribution made under this act, the secretary shall pay the additionalamount due at any time within the county fiscal year in which theunderpayment wasmade or within 60 days after the end of such county fiscal year.
