Chapter 65.--PUBLIC HEALTH
Article 29.--PHYSICAL THERAPY

      65-2905.   Same; officers; executive director; powersand duties; quorum;records; employees; compensation and expenses.(a) Thephysical therapy advisory councilprovided for in this actshall elect from their members a president and a vice-president, whoshall serve for one year or until their successors are elected andqualified. The executive director of the board shall act as secretary of thecouncil.

      (b)   The council shall servein an advisory capacity tothe board in matters pertaining to physicaltherapy. The board may adopt reasonablerules and regulations as may be found necessary for the performance of itsduties. Asto any matters coming under its jurisdiction, thecouncil while in session may take testimonyand any member may administer oaths inthe taking of such testimony.

      (c)   A simple majority of the council shall constitutea quorumfor the transaction of business. The secretary shall keep a record ofall procedures of the council.

      (d)   The board may appoint and fix the compensation of suchemployees asmay be necessary to assist the council, andthe boardshall have the power to employ such expert assistance as it may deemnecessary to carry out the purposes of this act. Members of the councilattendingmeetings of suchcouncil, or attending a subcommittee meetingthereof authorized bysuch council, shall be paidamounts provided in subsection (e)of K.S.A. 75-3223 and amendmentsthereto.
