Chapter 65.--PUBLIC HEALTH
Article 61.--EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES

      65-6119.   Mobile intensive care technicians;authorized activities.Notwithstanding any other provision of law, mobile intensive caretechnicians may:

      (a)   Performall the authorized activities identified in K.S.A. 65-6121, andamendments thereto;

      (b)   perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation;

      (c)   when voice contact or a telemetered electrocardiogram ismonitored by a physician, physician assistant whereauthorized by a physician or licensedprofessional nurse whereauthorized by a physician and direct communication ismaintained, and upon order of such person may administer suchmedications or procedures as may bedeemed necessary by a person identified insubsection (c);

      (d)   perform, during an emergency, those activities specified insubsection (c) before contacting a person identified insubsection (c) when specificallyauthorized to perform such activities by medical protocols; and

      (e)   perform, during nonemergency transportation, those activitiesspecified in this section when specifically authorized to perform suchactivities by medical protocols.
