Chapter 65.--PUBLIC HEALTH Article 62.--MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

65-6209. Same; exemption for certain hospitalproviders.(a) A hospital provider that is a state agency,the authority, as defined inK.S.A. 2009 Supp.76-3304, and amendmentsthereto,a stateeducational institution, as defined in K.S.A. 76-711, and amendments thereto,or a critical access hospital, as defined in K.S.A. 65-468, and amendmentsthereto, is exempt from the assessment imposed byK.S.A. 2009 Supp.65-6208,and amendmentsthereto.

(b) A hospital operated by the department in the course of performing itsmental health or developmental disabilities functions is exempt from theassessment imposed byK.S.A. 2009 Supp.65-6208, and amendments thereto.
