Chapter 65.--PUBLIC HEALTH
Article 72.--NATUROPATHIC DOCTORS

      65-7203.   Administration of act by state board ofhealing arts; qualifications of applicants; registration of certainnaturopathic doctors; record of proceedings.(a) The board, as hereinafter provided, shalladminister the provisions of this act.

      (b)   The board shall judge the qualifications of allapplicants for examination and registration,determine the applicants who successfully pass theexamination, duly register such applicants and adoptrules and regulations asmay be necessary to administer the provisions of this act.

      (c)   The board shall issue a registration as a naturopathic doctor to anindividualwho prior to the effective date of this act (1) graduated from a school ofnaturopathy that required four years of attendance and was at the time of suchindividual's graduation accredited or a candidate for accreditation by theboard approved accrediting body, (2) passed an examination approved by theboard covering appropriate naturopathic subjectsincluding basic and clinical sciences and (3) has not committed an act whichwould subject such person to having a registration suspended or revoked underK.S.A. 65-7208, and amendments thereto.

      (d)   The board shallkeep a record of all proceedings under this act and a roster of all individualsregistered under this act. Only an individual may beregistered under this act.

      (e)   The provisions of this section shall take effect on and after January 1,2003.
