Chapter 65.--PUBLIC HEALTH
Article 72.--NATUROPATHIC DOCTORS

      65-7211.   Unlawful representations; authority notconferred upon naturopathic doctors to engage in activities not conferred byact.(a) On and after January 1, 2003, and prior to July 1, 2004,it shall be unlawfulforany person who is notregistered under this act as a naturopathic doctor orwhose registration hasbeen suspended or revoked to hold oneselfout to the public as aregistered naturopathic doctor, or use the abbreviation of "N.D." or thewords"naturopathic doctor," "doctor of naturopathy," "doctor of naturopathicmedicine," "naturopathic medical doctor"or any other words, letters,abbreviations or insignia indicating or implying that such person is anaturopathic doctor.A violation of this subsection (a) shall constitute a class Bperson misdemeanor.

      (b)   On and after July 1, 2004, it shall be unlawfulforany person who is notregistered under this act as a naturopathic doctor orwhose registration hasbeen suspended or revoked to hold oneselfout to the public as aregistered naturopathic doctor, or use the abbreviation of "N.D." or thewords"naturopathic doctor," "doctor of naturopathy," "doctor of naturopathicmedicine," "naturopath," "naturopathic medical doctor"or any other words, letters,abbreviations or insignia indicating or implying that such person is anaturopathic doctor.A violation of this subsection (b) shall constitute a class Bperson misdemeanor.

      (c)   No statute granting authority to persons licensed or registered by thestate board ofhealing arts shall be construed to confer authority uponnaturopathic doctors to engage in any activity not conferred by this act.

      (d)   The provisions of this section shall take effect on and after January 1,2003.
