Article 1.--POWERS OF STATE CORPORATION COMMISSION

      66-1,142a.   Investigations conducted by highwaypatrol and commission for federal agency.The superintendent of the Kansas highway patrol and thecommission are hereby authorized and empowered to enter into any contracts oragreements with the relevant federal agency that are appropriate to allowqualified investigators of the commission and officers of the highway patrolto conduct investigations necessary for the relevant federal authority to issuea safety fitness rating.
