Chapter 66.--PUBLIC UTILITIES
Article 1.--POWERS OF STATE CORPORATION COMMISSION

      66-1,142d.   Contract motor carriers; continuation ofauthority and rates and tariffs.Contract motor carriers transporting household goods orpassengers holding permits issued by the commission under the former authorityof K.S.A. 66-1,112a, 66-1,112b or 66-1,112c, and amendments thereto, shallnow be considered as holding certificates of convenience and necessity totransport such household goods and passengers as originally granted to thatmotor carrier by the commission. Contract motor carriers transporting propertyother than household goods or transporting passengers and holding permitsissued by the commission under the former authority of K.S.A. 66-1,112a,66-1,112b or 66-1,112c, and amendments thereto, shall now be considered asholdingcertificates of publicservice to transport such property other than household goods or transportingpassengers as originally granted to that motor carrier by thecommission. Contract motor carriers with rates and tariffs on file withthe commission under the authority of K.S.A. 66-1,112 and 66-1,112f, andamendments thereto, shall be considered public motor carriers with the samerates and tariffs on file with the commission.
