Chapter 66.--PUBLIC UTILITIES Article 1.--POWERS OF STATE CORPORATION COMMISSION

66-1,238. Same; general supervision and inspection of utilities; damage liability.The commission shall have general supervision of allmiscellaneous public utilities doing business in thisstate and shall inquire into any neglect or violations of the laws of thisstate by any miscellaneous public utility or bythe officers, agents or employees thereof. From time to time, thecommission shall carefully examine and inspect the condition of eachmiscellaneous public utility, its equipment, the mannerof its conduct and its management with reference to the public safety andconvenience. Nothing in this section shall be construed as relieving anymiscellaneous public utility from its responsibility orliability for damage to person or property.
