Chapter 66.--PUBLIC UTILITIES
Article 12.--MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

      66-1264.   Same; definitions.As used in the net metering and easyconnection act:

      (a)   "Commission" means the state corporation commission.

      (b)   "Customer-generator" means the owner or operator of a net meteredfacility which:

      (1)   Is powered by a renewable energy resource;

      (2)   is located on a premises owned, operated, leased or otherwisecontrolled by thecustomer-generator;

      (3)   is interconnected and operates inparallel phase and synchronization with an affectedutility and is in compliance with the standards established by the affectedutility;

      (4)   is intended primarily to offset part or all of the customer-generator'sown electrical energy requirements;

      (5)   contains a mechanism, approved by the utility, that automaticallydisables the unit and interrupts the flow of electricity back onto the supplier's electricity linesin the event that service tothe customer-generator is interrupted.

      (c)   "Peak demand" shall have the meaning ascribed thereto in K.S.A. 2009Supp. 66-1257, andamendmentsthereto.

      (d)   "Renewable energy resources" shall have the meaning ascribed thereto inK.S.A. 2009 Supp. 66-1257, andamendments thereto.

      (e)   "Utility" means investor-owned electric utility.
