Chapter 68.--ROADS AND BRIDGES
PART I.--ROADS
Article 4.--STATE HIGHWAYS

      68-402.   Same; contracts; disbursements ofmoneys.The secretary of transportation may enter into all contracts andagreements necessary to cooperate with the United States department oftransportation or any of the other federal departments or agencies andmay do and perform all acts required of a state agency to obtain allbenefits under the terms and provisions of federal legislation mentionedin the preceding section or any subsequent federal legislation relatingto highways, roads or streets or relating to the various other modes andsystems of transportation. The state treasurer shall receive and depositin the state treasury all funds apportioned to the state or any county,city or political subdivision thereof in accordance with the provisionsof any federal legislation for highway, road or street purposes or forpurposes relating to the various other modes and systems oftransportation. Such funds shall be distributed by the director ofaccounts and reports upon vouchers approved by the secretary oftransportation in accordance with such federal legislation and inaccordance with appropriation acts of this state.
