Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS
Article 13.--TEACHERS' LICENSES

      72-1371.   College and university accreditation for automatic teachercertification of graduates; state board duties.Upon application of any college or university, or educationalinstitution of like standing, incorporated under the general laws of thestate of Kansas, and requiring a four-year high-school course or itsequivalent, as a condition of admission, the state board shall have thepower to examine the course of study prescribed and the character of thework done by it; and if, in the judgment of the state board, the course ofstudy and the character of the work done shall be of such standing as toprepare the graduates of such institution to teach successfully in thepublic schools of this state, and if said institution maintains adepartment of education and the course of study prescribed includes work insaid department satisfactory to the state board, the state board shallplace such institution on the accredited list.
