Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS Article 41.--SCHOOL TEXTBOOKS

72-4160. Same; development and adoption of policy; disposition of moneysreceived for purchases.(a) The board of education of any school district, pursuant to apolicy developed and adopted by the board, may provide for the purchase oftextbooks from the school district by pupils of accredited nonpublic schools inthe district upon payment by such pupils of the amount of the cost of thetextbooks to the district.

(b) Moneys received by a board of education under this section for thepurchase of textbooks by pupils of accredited nonpublic schools in the districtshall be deposited in the revolving fund established by the board for thepurpose of purchasing textbooks under the provisions of article 41 of chapter72 of Kansas Statutes Annotated, and the board may expend moneys from suchrevolving fund for the purpose of purchasing the textbooks.
