Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS
Article 43.--VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION AND KANSAS TECHNICAL INSTITUTE

      72-4311.   Same; secretary of social and rehabilitation services; powersand duties; rules and regulations.The secretary of social and rehabilitation services may disburse allfunds allotted to the state by the federal government under any act ofcongress, and such other funds as may be made available from public andprivate sources for the vocational rehabilitation of persons disabled inindustry or otherwise. The secretary may make studies, investigations,demonstrations, and reports, and provide training and instruction,including tuition and maintenance necessary in preparing staff in mattersrelating to vocational rehabilitation, and establish and operaterehabilitation facilities and workshops necessary to vocationallyrehabilitate and place in remunerative occupations persons eligible for thebenefits of this act. The secretary may adopt rules and regulations for theadministration of this act including regulations providing the procedurefor fair hearings for applicants or recipients and for the protection ofconfidential records and other information.
