Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS
Article 44.--CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION

      72-4450.   Definitions.As used in this act:

      (a)   "Career technical education program" means aprogram of vocational ortechnical training or retraining which is operated at the postsecondarylevel and is designed to prepare persons for gainful employment.

      (b)   "Career technical education institution" meansany area vocational school,area vocational-technical school, technical college, community college,municipal university,or any state educational institution which operates one or morecareer technical education programs.

      (c)   "Area vocational school," "area vocational-technical school,""community college," "municipal university," "state educationalinstitution," "technical college," and "state board" have the meaningsrespectively ascribedthereto in K.S.A. 72-4412, and amendments thereto.

      (d)   "Private postsecondary educationalinstitution" and "out-of-state postsecondary educational institution" have themeanings ascribed thereto inK.S.A. 2009 Supp.74-32,163, and amendmentsthereto.

      (e)   "Program" means the Kansas training information program established bythis act.
