Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS
Article 44.--CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION

      72-4453.   Agreements for transferability of courses and programs required;purpose; conditions; criteria and guidelines.(a) The board of trustees of every community college and the governing board ofevery area vocational school or area vocational-technical school shall make andenter into agreements providing the transferability of substantially equivalentcourses of study and programs which are offered at such educationalinstitutions in order to facilitate the articulation of students to and amongsuch educational institutions.

      (b)   The following conditions shall apply to the agreements required undersubsection (a):

      (1)   The state board of regents shall be notified ofthe agreement at thetime the agreement is executed; and

      (2)   the agreement shall be effective only after approval by the state boardof regents.

      (c)   The state board of regents shall prescribecriteria or guidelines forthe purpose of determining which courses of study and programs offered in thearea vocational schools and area vocational-technical schools are: (1)Substantially equivalent to courses of study and programs offered in thecommunity colleges; and (2) transferable to the community colleges. A current,complete list of such courses of study and programs shall be maintained on filein the office of the state board ofregents and shall be open for public inspection atany reasonable time.
