Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS
Article 45.--ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAMS

      72-4519.   State and federal funds; allocation and distribution; wheredeposited; payments; rules and regulations.(a) The state board shall be responsible for the allocation anddistribution of state and federal funds for adult basic education programsin accordance with this act and with the state plan. Such moneys shall beexpended only in accordance with and for the purposes specified in federalor state law or the state plan. Federal funds for adult basic educationprograms shall be deposited in the state treasury. Payments under this actmay be made in installments and in advance or by way of reimbursement, withnecessary adjustments on account of overpayments or underpayments. Thestate board shall approve vouchers for disbursements from moneys in thestate treasury for adult basic education programs, and the director ofaccounts and reports shall draw his warrants thereon in accordance withlaw.

      (b)   The state board may adopt rules and regulations for theadministration of this act, and for the distribution of federal and statefunds for adult basic education programs so long as the same are notinconsistent with the provisions of this act.
