Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS
Article 55.--STATE SCHOOL RETIREMENT SYSTEM

      72-5519.   Quitting service before age sixty.In case any school employee shall quit school service before age sixty(60) (except as provided otherwise in this act) the board shall onrequest issue to him a certified statement of his service record and hissavings account. No refund shall be made; no further payments shall berequired from the employee (unless he returns to school service);interest shall continue to be credited to his account; and none of hisretirement rights shall be canceled. At age sixty-five (65) such personshall become eligible to receive the annuity indicated by his servicerecord and his savings account at the time of retirement. In case anyschool employee quits school service and moves from Kansas but continuesin public school employment, and while so employed suffers so as toqualify under the provisions of K.S.A. 72-5513, such personshall become eligible to receive the annuity provided in K.S.A. 72-5513.
