Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS
Article 65.--STATE AID TO WASHBURN UNIVERSITY

      72-6504.   Certification of credit hours; reports;forms; residence requirements;rules and regulations.(a) On or before November 1 and on or before April 1 of each year,the president and treasurer of the university shallcertify under oath to the state board the total number of duly enrolledcredit hours of students of the university during the currentterm who meet the state residence requirement. The state board mayrequire the university to furnish any additional information deemednecessary by it to carry out the provisions of this act and shallprescribe such forms, to be approved by the attorney general, as may benecessary for making such reports.

      (b)   Persons enrolling in the university who, if adults, have not been,or if minors, whose parents have not been residents of the state of Kansasfor at least six months prior to enrollment for any termare nonresidentsfor the purpose of determination of entitlement to state grants. Thestate board may adopt rules andregulations prescribing criteriaor guidelines for determination of residence of students, so long as suchcriteria or guidelines are not in conflict with the provisions of this section,and may make conclusive determination of any residence matter for the purposeof determination of entitlement tostate grants.
