Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS
Article 82.--ORGANIZATION, POWERS AND FINANCES OF BOARDS OF EDUCATION

      72-8202c.   Clerk; appointment and duties.(a) The board of education of each school district shall appoint aclerk, who shall serve at the pleasure of the board. The clerk shallreceive compensation fixed by the board. The clerk shall not be a member ofthe board and shall not be the same person as the superintendent of schoolsor the treasurer.

      (b)   The clerk shall keep an accurate journal of the proceedings of theboard of education. The clerk shall have the care and custody of therecords, books and documents of the board. The clerk shall prepare andsubmit to or for the board all reports required of him by the board and bylaw.
