Chapter 72.--SCHOOLS Article 83.--TRANSPORTATION OF STUDENTS

72-8305. Transportation for activities; rules and regulations forschool bus operation.The board of education of any school district or the board of trusteesof any community junior college, which school district or community juniorcollege is: (a) Participating in or cooperating in any vocational educationcourse or program; (b) engaged in field trips in connection with any courseor training; or (c) engaged in any extracurricular school activity, mayprovide and furnish transportation for students and school personnel of theschool district or community junior college. The school district orcommunity junior college may pay mileage for those school buses contracted,leased or hired for such purposes, and may adopt rules and regulationsgoverning the use and operation of such school buses. All students sotransported shall be under school control and discipline and in every caseshall be accompanied by a suitable adult person.
