74.040 Chief executive officer -- Employees -- Expenses -- Salary.
The commission may employ a person to serve as the chief executive officer of the water <br>district. This person shall not be one (1) of the water district's commissioners. The person <br>may be designated the general manager, superintendent, or chief executive officer of the <br>district or by any other similar title. The chief executive officer shall perform such <br>additional duties as the commission may require of him or her and shall be subject to the <br>orders of the commission. The chief executive officer shall employ all necessary labor <br>and assistance in the performance of his or her duties, and he or she shall report to the <br>commission all expenses incurred. The salary of the chief executive officer shall be fixed <br>by the commission.
