83A.180 Administration of oath. In cities of the second through sixth class, the official oath of any city officer, whether <br>elected or appointed, may be administered by the mayor of the city for which the officer <br>serves, except that a mayor's official oath shall be administered by such person as <br>otherwise provided by law.
