158.446 Use of appropriated funds. Of the funds appropriated to support the school safety fund program in the biennial <br>budget, twenty percent (20%) of the funds in 1998-99, and ten percent (10%) in 1999-<br>2000, shall be used for the operation of the Center for School Safety and grants to be <br>distributed by the Center to support exemplary programs in local school districts. The <br>remainder of the appropriation shall be distributed to local school districts on a per pupil <br>basis. The funds shall be used for the purpose of improving school safety and student <br>discipline through alternative education programs and intervention services in compliance <br>with KRS 158.148, 158.150, and 158.445. School districts shall be responsible for <br>documenting the purposes for which these funds were expended. Effective: April 10, 1998 <br>History: Created 1998 Ky. Acts ch. 493, sec. 7, effective April 10, 1998.
