211.200 Assignment of cabinet personnel to a county in case of public health emergency or when county lacks adequate local health department. Whenever, in the opinion of the secretary for health and family services, a public health <br>emergency exists in any county, or whenever any county fails to establish, maintain, and <br>operate a local health department therein meeting the standards prescribed by the cabinet, <br>the cabinet may assign to said county such of its own personnel as may be designated by <br>the secretary for health and family services. Such personnel so assigned shall have the full <br>power and authority of local health department employees in addition to their power and <br>authority as representatives of the cabinet. Whenever such assignment results by reason of <br>the lack of a local health department or of a local health department meeting the standards <br>prescribed by the cabinet, any funds appropriated or allocated to the local health <br>department by either the Commonwealth or the federal government may be used to <br>reimburse the cabinet.
