§1013. Program established
The authority shall administer a program of comprehensive, consolidated student financial assistance for Maine students and their families. The authority is authorized to carry out various programs making financial and other assistance available to borrowers, institutions, or both, to finance costs of attendance at institutions of higher education. The authority is further authorized to issue its bonds, lend the proceeds of the bonds and exercise any other power set forth in this subchapter for these purposes.
