§62. Vacancies; expiration of term

Vacancies to occur by expiration of the term of office at the end of any year in which a biennial election is held shall be filled by election on the Tuesday following the first Monday of November in that year. 1. Term of office. The term of office for a county commissioner is 4 years, except when a person is elected to fill an unexpired term, in which case it is for the remainder of the unexpired term.

2. Election designation. When only one county commissioner is to be elected, the nomination papers and official ballot shall specify simply the office of county commissioner. When 2 or more county commissioners are to be elected, the nomination papers and ballots shall also designate the respective terms for which they are to be nominated or elected.
