Article 3: PROCEDURES

§5468. Evaluation

After completing the tasks specified in section 5467, subsection 2, the commissioner shall cause a comprehensive evaluation of the client, including a consideration of physical, emotional, social and cognitive factors, to be conducted if a recent comprehensive and informative evaluation is not already available to the department. 1. Location. The comprehensive evaluation shall be conducted locally, except where resources required to carry out the evaluation are not available.

2. Comprehensive evaluation. The comprehensive evaluation shall be conducted by a person who is a licensed physician, licensed clinical psychologist or licensed psychological examiner and who has had training and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mentally retarded persons.
