§ 7-202. Maryland Transit Administrator.
 

(a)  Position and appointment.- The head of the Administration is the Maryland Transit Administrator, who shall be appointed by the Secretary with the approval of the Governor. 

(b)  Responsibility to Secretary; duties.-  

(1) The Administrator serves at the pleasure of the Secretary and shall report directly to him. 

(2) Subject to the authority of the Secretary, the Administrator is responsible for carrying out: 

(i) The powers and duties vested by law in the Administration; and 

(ii) Those powers and duties vested in the Secretary and delegated to the Administrator by the Secretary. 

(c)  Salary.- The Administrator is entitled to the salary provided in the State budget.
